If I box the frame around the steering box area and run tubing in between them for the bolts, will this distribute the load and eliminate the cracked frame syndrome? Someone mentioned this and it keeps turning in my head. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Whatcha think? /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

What is the purpose of bringing the spacers out of the rear like the stock setup?

Those are not spacers. They are solid sleeves welded through both the inside and outside of the frame. It ties it all together adding lots of strength. The reason the factory used the spacers was to prevent the points of the hex bolts from prematurely wearing a hole through the frame as it flexed from steering input.

I knew they weren't spacers, but I just wanted to know why they came out further than the frame. I never knew why the factory did it and now I know why. Thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
