What's the deal with the "rebuilt axle" but add ons of R&P? They don't come with R&P or what? Not that I'm interested in buying one from them, I just don't get what they're pricing[IMG]....

R&P is the add on to change the gears for you i think, instead of getting whatever it came with.

You'd think with what they are charging they'd be able to afford some sort of spell check program or something!? Wow that's a lot of money.... [IMG]

All I can say is I hope no one has bought one of their 10 bolts. That is absurd to think that they charge over a grand for one when junkyards practically give them away in good condition.

There prices have simply gone through the roof. Only 3 years ago, they charged less than half of what they do now. The sad thing is they can get what they want and them some because people keep buying from them. I have talked with Mark Boyce a couple of times and he seems like a nice guy and all, but he has cornered the market and told me this....
"you see Brian, our axles are really a bargain compared to everything else out there". "Our competition sells chevy dana 60 fronts at 3 times the price we do" which was true at the time from sources I knew about. Since them, 4 wheeling has exploded on the map more than ever. If people are desperate enough to happily pay what he wants, he is more than happy to keep raising the price. Luckily I was not that desperate and took a lot of time finding these axles for myself and friends, as a result a lot of you guys on this board have scored big time over what you could get from boyce. I think it's a win win for everyone. Brian

IT'S A 1 TON THING.... IF I HAVE TO EXPLAIN IT, YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND!!!

Brian, in my older magazines, when Boyce first started selling those CUCV axles, you could get the front and rear 1 ton axles for under $2000!!! And that was both rebuilt!! [IMG]

I have always wanted to copy that ad in the magazine and send it to them with a check. Just to see what they say when I'm expecting two axles for under $2000!! [IMG] [IMG] They would probably "return to sender" the envelope!! [IMG]

That would be a 3/4 ton truck. The one ton is diferentiated by it's massive D60 front...accept no substitutes.[IMG] Also, if it actually says K30 on the side and it has a D44 front the D60 has been swapped out and sold already.

What Rene said. I did see a K30 at the Carlisle Truck Show for sale that had a 10bolt front.[IMG] I wonder if the owner had any idea that he was selling a fake.

I did that with Brown Turd!! Took the D60 out and sold it to another member on this site. The kid who bought the truck from me had no clue what the differences were on the front axles. [IMG] He was more fascinated by the tire size and the 454!! [IMG]
