Just wanted to brag about my son. He earned his Tiger Cub Badge tonight at Boy Scouts! ! ! The best part of all was being able to present it to him. Our leader had some place else she had to be so......since I have acted as her asst all year she asked me to present all the boys with their badges and beads. What an honor! ! ! Okay I'm through bragging now.....I'll let you go back to your regular posting.

Way to go !! Scouts are a great place to start a kid out on the right path. I can't tell you all the good things I picked up in Scouting (well - a few bad things, too. Boys will be boys)!!

Thanks guys for the compliments! ! He is really excited. They had some one there tonight to talk about Summer camp and he will get to go. And I am finding out all to well that boys will be boys....I've also found out that my mother in laws little boy grew up to be my big boy only now.....he plays with bigger(not to mention more expensive) toys! ! !

Donna - if you can swing it, when he get's older (start saving now) send him to Filmont! He'll NEVER forget it! Of course, his interest must remain intact.

Yes he has ! ! ! And with his CP it's something that not many kid's like him(disability wise) are even willing to try. Which I have to admitt...I was kind of hesitant about it too but realize now that it was one of the best things I could have done for him.

Filmont is a test of mind, body and spirit. It's a challenge that few will complete, yet those who do, are changed for life - for the better. Ask your Scout leaders about this wonderful experience. It's not just a campout - it's survival.

Philmont is awesome. I never went, but my uncle did back in the day and it's just down the road from where I grew up and my dad has a place not too far away. It's in the NE mountains of New Mexico.
