brake drums...

    has anyone had a brake drum lock on... I cant get my back left drum off... any suggestions... the right one came off easy... but the left is stuck...

    you might have a lip on the drum from wear just back off the pads with a screwdriver through the plug hole in the drum. when tention is releived it should slide off.

    The other place that they can get stuck is the on the axle shaft. You will know that it is froze onto the axle because it will not move in and out at all where if it is the brakes there will be some play because of the hold down springs. Some penitrating oil and a hammer helps if they are froze on the axle.

    thanks for the help guys... 1 hour of hammering did the trick... the brack shoes and the drums are all carved up....
