hey all, i installed a hydro boost system out of an 82 diesel pickup into my k5 about a year, year and a half ago and the system has worked flawlessly until recently. couple of weeks ago it started pushing fluid out past the cover on the master cylinder. primarily coming out of the large front chamber. anyone have any ideas? im at a loss.

i dont think so. the m/c bolts to the hydro unit like it would to a vacuum unit. last time i checked my p/s fluid it was full. i guess anything is possible tho.

if its brake fluid...the master cylinder is likely bad and bypassing the inner seal..

not sure i follow you about the inner seal. its not leaking between the m/c and the booster. its leaking right out past the cap!

Fluid from the rear resivior is getting past a seal internally in the MC and being pumped into the front resivior. The fix would be a new master or rebuild what you have.

the rear resivior is never low. only the front.
