Brake Light Code

    I searched the archives but couldn't find out the answer to this question. The brake light on the dash flashes a code, 1 long flash and then 3 shorts ones (31 or 13). Any one know what this means.

    Just a stab in the dark, but I'd guess there is a problem with your rear ABS.

    the abs systems have a self diagnostic mode like the engine ecm's. that code could indicate a problem.but due to the different systems used on the different year vehicles there is no standard. you need to check with the dealer or a service facility with a diagnostic tool to find the correct meaning for your truck.
