    Hi All --

How do I replace the rubber brake hoses on my 87? I think I've narrowed it down to the rubber hoses! They appeared to be original, and I need to know how to

    (1) get the old rubber off.

    (2) Put the new hose on.

    Thanks!

Not too hard...I pull my calipers off and cleaned then real good when I did mine...Also, not is the perfect time to put on extended brake lines if you ever plan on lifting you truck...I have te ProComp 4-6" extended brake lines and LOVE em...

You will just want to undo th ehose at the caliper and then use a flare nut wrench and undo the hose at the frame rail where it attaches to the hard line...not to bad...there is a "clip" of sort that holds the brake line to the bracket at the frame...life is much easier when you pop it off first (it is on the back side of the bracket../.
