I am removing my front and rear axel on the old K5 and can't seem to get the brake lines loose. I am trying to remove the flare fitting at the metal line coming from the frame in the rear and it will not come loose. I have soaked it in rust eater and all it is doing is stripping the nut. Is there any way to reflare the metal line and put a new nut on it. I am about to get the vise grips after it if so. I need to get this loose so I can put in an extended brake line for the new 14FF. Thanks for the advice.

Just cut it off. I replaced all the metal lines from the front to the back when I did mine. The metal lines are cheaper than youd think, and by the sounds of it, you only need the ones from the T join to the frame.
Price them out. Lots easier than reflaring and messing with the old ones.

You could probably get them at Nape or some other parts place. Or the dealer.......

Do I just measure the line length and buy it pre cut with ends and bend to fit? The prebent stuff from LMC is high dollar.
