ok so back in the day dad always told me dont fix it till its broke
well awhile back i made a post about a pop and crack in my front end (dana 44)
well i ( after long inspection, 2 weeks) decided my tires were too wide, go cross over
so i finally got the knucle machined, and new ball joints put in and ready to install, 4 days ago
put it in, and started driving it with only knucle put in, because of other probs with cross over stuff, but anyway
so im driving it, with only changing the knucle
and i have a huge vibration in the rig now
seems to be in the front end, but dotn know what it would be
    ball joints are new
    tir rod ends are good
    i cant figure it out
    any suggestions

I don't know from nuthin but since you put in new parts and what not have you checked the alignment?? That could make for a brand new vibration. Just my .02 worth. Good luck to ya.

why would tire all of a sudden get out of ballance? no weights on out side of tire?
shimmy really bad in steering wheel
dont think its out of alignment, kinda hard to get sfa thatfar out of wake i think,
    but i could be wrong
i will sure check off of these thanks guys, keep em coming

  6. When you put in the new ball joints did you preload the adjusting nut correctly? If you didn't then the upper ball joint will become lose and cause a vibration.

    OK, THIS IS AN UPDATE
IM AM A STUPIDO <- I JUST MADE THAT UP

I FINALLY BROKE DOWN, SPENT 4 HOURS OF SWEAT, TEARS, AND BEER,( I USALLY DONT DRINK) AND TORE IN TO MY RIG
I TOOK EVERYTHING APART, (FRONT END, REAR DIVE SHAFT, T-CASE, AND UN BOLTED TRANNY) FINDING NOTHING I SEEN THAT WAS WRONG
BUT WHEN I PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER ( I MEANING ME AND MY EXPERT MECHANIC I FOUND THAT DID MOST OF THE WORK) NOTHING WAS WRONG, POP WAS GONE IN FRONT END, NO VIBRATION, HELL IT RUNS BETTER THEN IT EVER HAS
    SO IN CONCLUSION
WHEN IT DOUBT, PULL IT OUT, AND SLAP IT BACK IN /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif HAHAHAHA
