    I went out messin around last night Tryin to do burnouts in my yellow truck and broke something in my truck it's either the t-case input or the splined coupler between the t-case and trans /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif got to love that Big block power any body else done something simular ??? it's a sm465 and np-205 My buddies are gonna pull it apart tonight I'll try to borrow a digi-camera to take some pics of the carnage /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    My money is on the coupler between tranny and case. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

    I know huh , I was beating on it preety hard dumping the clutch at about 6000 rpm I guess I should have figured on something breakin' /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    We pulled it apart last night it was the coulpler between the trans and t-case Broke it into six pieces /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif I'll post some pics tommorrow . Does any one out there know where I could get a new one I posted in the wanted section for a used one But I was wondering if these are available new ???

    go to gmpartsdirect do a parts search and here is the part#gm coupler 6259656 I think it was around $20 and some change.my local dealer wants 41.20 plus tax.just a little advice change the seal in the adapter housing! mike /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

    Check the splines on the tranny and t-case too, they are know to deform/wear, and will take out a new coupler pretty quick (comparitively speaking).

    Both shafts look good /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I'm Gonna order 2 of them So I can have a spare I'm also changin' the seals and gaskets /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

    HA!!!! I've broke 2 since then I keep a spare in the glovebox !!!!:D :D only takes me about 25-30 minutes to do the change gotta love bigblock tourqe . So I'm guessing your clutch is fine

    while we are on the topic is this the weakest link and the first to go or is it just b/c you were screwin' around w/ the bb yellowk20?

    I've been having fun in 2low (no front d-shaft or keep the hubs unlocked) since its about the best way for me to get em' smokin'...you think I'm asking for trouble b/c of the torque or is my little ol' small block not putting down enough toruqe to worry?
