well I had a brake light out, no biggy, and I need to fix my tag light, but he popped the hood and checked my fluids and wouldn't pass me because my power steering didn't work, what kind of BS is that.

mine passes inspection every time. wait a sec, there is no inspection here, if there was i would probably fail in record time. they seem to get upset when you misplace the "original factory smog equipment and exhaust". /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

Hmmm, lets see here, no EFE, EGR, AIR, Evaparation Canisiter, Catalytic Convertor, modified fuel metering, and 16 degrees intial timing. I bet I'd pass, (with a BIG bribe). /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Texas says if it came with power steering it has to work as part of the inspection. Cant have any power steering leaks either

I think they let you have 10 days or so to get it fixed, then come back and get it inspected again. Within 10 days and its supposed to be free...thats how it usually is here in Richardson though, dunno about Lubbock.
