    can't seem to locate my build sheet, if it's even there. Any ideas/suggestions on where to look? thanx.

    Not sure about your later model, but my '79 has it in the glove box door.............

    ok...i guess i was wrong...guess these trucks don't really have a hidden build sheet. I used to find then in the older cars/truck i owned either in the door behind the panel, on top of the tank, inside or under the the seat wedged between the metal bars and foam. It's usually a printout of all information about the truck when it was built - where, when, model, accs...blahblah. I guess they did away with these for the k5's and ya just go by the 3 digit codes on the glove box door. sorry. my bad. thanx for the replies.

    No, I've never seen them in the K5's. Probably no place to hide them! : ) GM started to do away with them in the 80's, no rhyme or reason why some vehicles had them and some didn't...by the 80's, in cars, it had degenerated into numerous sheets, each with different areas on it, such as "doors, power, maroon cloth" etc., then one sheet would have the seat belt options, and so on.
