Anybody here ever built their own winch mount bumper? Any advice? Is it pretty straight forward? I'd figured I'd just MIG wled it together with plates that have been cut into the shapes I need. I've done all my measurements and I've got plans drawn up. Is 1/8" steel plate a good size to use or is that too thick (or not thick enough)? Should I use a thicker plate where the winch will bolt in?
    Thanks

I would use 1/4" on a winch mount.
    atleast 3/16" bare minimun.
