    Burban\' Lift..

hey my friend has a 90' 1500 Suburban..u know the 5.7L, all stock, so the question is where can we find a lift for it? because i think it was in 92 they changed the body style, so we have been looking around and all we can find is parts for 76-88, then 92-present etc..u know what i mean? so what will fit a 90' suburban solid front axle?? please help..he wants to lift it and gets some tires cuz my blazer is just killing him off road!! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

As a general answer - all he needs is the kit for '73-'87 pickups/k5's/suburbans. (Make sure you get the 56" rear springs instead of 52" if you're getting a system).

He said he has the 1500 Sub. That should be the 52" rear springs. As far as I know only the 2500's and 3500's had the 56" springs. If you get the 56" rear springs you'll have to move the rear spring mount back 4" and this will move your rear axle back 2".

Nope, I've got a half-ton and it's got 56" rears. I think all 'burbs from that time period and 3/4 ton trucks do. All I know is that mine does, and being that it's the same truck, his should also. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Either 87 1/2 or 88 1/2 (dont remember...) they changed all burbs to 56" rear springs.

In mid 88's they changed to 56". I have a 88 with 52s. It makes a big difference. Anyway, good luck. Also, check with Steve at Offcamber4x4,com for lift. He has good prices.

just measure your springs. my 73 K20 sub has 52 inch springs. came that way from the factory. my 77C20 sub has 56 inch springs. interestnigly enough, my 73 C10 sub has 56 inch springs. whipping out a tape measure and taking a look is your best bet for getting the proper length springs. other then that, any lift system for the 69-87 chevy truckline will fit. most only advertise to 87, forgetting the fact the blazer and suburban maintained the `rounded line era' look until 1991.

Call National Spring and install ? " lift springs in the front and shackle flip in the rear from ORU. I've done "lift kits" several time and this is the route that I would take in the future!
