I recently got what I thought was a sweet deal on some rough country springs from desertrat offroad. I found out today that they are in fact Burbank springs. This company is apparently long gone and I can't find any information on them elsewhere so I'm hoping someone here may know something about them. Specifically I'm interested in the ride, are they terrible? I don't mind a stiff struck, but I'd like to stay away from the frame-welded-to-axle feeling. If they're bad I'll return them to desertrat, but the deal was pretty good so I'd like to keep them if they aren't horrible. Any input is appreciated.
    Thanks guys (and gals),
    -Aaron

I remember reading about Burbank Suspension in my old magazines. They were a good lift co. back in the mid '80's. Never did hear when they quit business though.

so the rough country springs are made by Burbank. I just recently got the 4" lift from rough country directly. Is it only the desert rat (RC) springs that are burbank or are all rough country springs burbank. Thanks

They Burbank were part of the MR. GASKET GROUP
I have a couple of old cataloges, and my 73 Blazer had the 4" front HD Springs
They were like 666lbs./in. spring rate, with the Warn up front to Pre-Load them
they road ok, but on the stiff side.
    Good luck

If those are spring bushings and you're not using them I need to find a pair of front spring bushings. If you're interested in selling them let me know.
    Thanks,

They (DR) could'nt tell the difference if it was stamped on the springs, or even on the computor screen, most
of there help is just plain dumb, IMHO. Aslo there advertizing dept. has had ad's floating around for years, that
the accounting dept. is still paying for, and they don't know it.
