Went riding in cooke city yesterday and today. First off we got to Pilot creek where they close the road which is 10 miles from town but we decided to forge on it. Stacey is in his 02 duramax with 15" lift and 40" toyos pulling a 4 place and I am in my 97 cummins with 5" lift and 35s. We get half way in and he looses his transmission. We got it backed down to the state line pull off and left our trucks there and rode in. Riding was ok but snow was thin. Almost got myself in trouble climbing hills, would get higher than the snow and have no place to turn out but basically in my own track. Got back and no probs. Leave this morning for a ride and half way up my sled backfires a couple times and wouldn't run at low Rs. Thought my needle stuck so tried to limp back to town. Got a little farther and started acting up bad so stopped. Found a broken crank :doah:. Towed it back to the cabin and took the coil off and put a a friend 03 polaris chassis mod and rode it out. Now am I thinking of trading him my 99 CMX chassis for his old 03 sled. Anyways can't wait to go again, the darn snow makes me wet.

that what rocks about where I live. I am 45 minutes from riding in the Big Horns and hour and a half from cooke city. Cooke totally rocks compared to the horns. What did you used to ride? My machine is a 99 polaris bulkheaded CMX chassis. You can see their sleds here: http://www.crazymtn.com/
Mine was built locally, not by them but includes their tunnel, rear suspension and seat. It has a modded articat 162 attack 20 track. The engine is from a 01 polaris 800 but I have cut the head, PSI twin pipes and modded can, vforce 3 reeds, modded airbox and have the boss nos setup here but not installed yet. The sled I am looking at trading for is a 02 polaris edge model with an 800 with twin pipes, vforce 3 reeds, boondocker nitrous, airbox mods, EGTs, etc. The chassis is stock but has been stretched to a 159 track. All the shocks and such are similar to what I had on my 99 mod. The hood and seat are covered in snow camo theme. I'll take pics in the AM.
