    Ryan,

I'm glad you don't live in my neighborhood! [IMG]

Seriously though, burnouts have nothing to do with 4x4s but I still LOVE seeing stuff like this! It must be some sort of "primitive male" desire to make smoke and fire!!! [IMG]

What are the details of the drivetrain that did all this mayhem? What gears, tire size, locker, engine, tranny, do you have a line-loc.....etc.

    Way cool.....

As little as 4X4's have to do with burnouts, one of the guys at work asked me, "your truck can do a burnout???"
I told him, can I ?!? He told me he's never seen nothing like it.

    thanks for the response.
    I have a .030 over 350... a 70's 'vette motor.
corvette cam, Performer RPM manifold, Holley carb, Headers dual flowmasters.
A TH-350 shift kit, w/ NP205, 12 bolt rear with detroit locker, 3:73 gears, 1 Ton rear driveshaft 1350 Ujoint and CV. Skyjacker softride 6" front springs 8" rear springs.
No line lock...YET. I hardly ever smoke the tires, but this one was fun.
I got some rubber shavings on the hood of my boss' '98 Corvette you barely see in the background... OOPS! He wasn't mad after he saw the video though.

You can also see all the spec's on my website.

Hey Ryan, cool burnout! Is there any way you can put me in touch with your freind Eric with the 69 Z? I've got one almost identical, and I have some questions for him. Thanks, Tommy

my coolest burnout went mostly unobserved... only the bored lookinpeople at the new car lot saw me pull a 350 foot burnout.... I wish I'd gotten pictures of the marks too, because I ended up frying a transmission over it. ( 77 C20 suburban, 454/400 trailering special) I just went around a corner, the road was freshly paved, and for some reason, I burried the accelerator. the transmission rapidly shifted through all 3 gears, and then let off the gas after about 10 seconds of straitpipe 454 roaring, and wheels burning. somewhere durring that burnout, my transmission mount broke, and re-alligned my transmission so it was off by about 4 inches from center. within 2 days, I had no reverse, and was losing first. itwouldn't be so bad, except that no one really saw it...
