    I'm from the 1st Gen board but I figured I'd post this over here too.
    Just have a look at this burnout I did today.

    I have a .030 over 350... a 70's 'vette motor.
    corvette cam, Performer RPM manifold, Holley carb, Headers dual flowmasters.
    A TH-350 shift kit, w/ NP205, 12 bolt rear with detroit locker, 3:73 gears, 1 Ton rear driveshaft 1350 Ujoint and CV. Skyjacker softride 6" front springs 8" rear springs.

    That 12-Bolt HAS led a tortured life....! If you look at all the photos in Ryans album, you can see that he's blown the gears on it once already....

    HEHE.
    I've blown the ring &amp; pinion twice in the last 3 years. I rarely smoke the tires, but the gears get a good beating at Pismo dunes 3-5 times a year. Luckily I haven't had any major breakdowns out in the dunes racing up Competition Hill or something.
    Just running my 35's and a hard shift kit chirping 2nd are probally not any better. I've been planing on my 14FF/ D60 swap, when I get enough money together.
