May want to talk to the electronics guy from where your buying it from to find the perfect one for you. Sony is sometimes good too... and sometimes JVC. and maybe Hewlette packard has some neat cameras..

    my wife does video production...

best cameras have a 3CCD technology and Panasonic GV120 is there most affordable model...my wife uses a Panasonic GV400...you will be amazed at the color clarity of having 3 seperate chips to decode color vs one chip technology she bought hers online and saved bigmoney over retail go to Panasonic's website and read about what 3CCD does for images...its really the best...she upgraded from a Sony.

I have a Sony and I like it. It does short movies and digi photos but looks like a camera. So you know those places that will let you take photos but not movies, its perfect. It works with memory sticks so you can switch them out really easily when one is full.

Yes, mine is the older model I think, but it may be the other way around. They are basicly the same camera. I post the first one because it saves y'all a few bucks.

That's a good camera but it's really outdated. Floppy technology is extremely obsolete. So is the .3 megapixel quality. For that price ($175) you could get yourself a decent 1 or 2 MP camera with flash memory.
