buying a used 350

    I am about to get a used 350, is there anything I should look out for? like certain castings that sucked/not great, certain ones that are better and such?

    make sure you do a compresion(sp?) test on it first

    Yeah, look for a Vortec one from a '96 or newer truck.

    I know of a guy here near Montgomery that has a complete '97 Vortec with 62,000 miles. It has all of the wiring and computer with it, as well as the complete front of the motor(ac compressor, power steering pump, alternator, and all brackets). He is asking $900 for all of it.

    '85 K5 : Run it til it breaks, then fix it and go again!

    That would be a cool way to go. $900 isn't that bad either.

    its going in a '84 K10 w/TH350 tranny, and hopefully D60 front and 14-bolt back soon.
