Anyone use these "high frequency" conversion boxes for AC/DC stick welders. I have wanted to get a TIG for some time now but the cost(and having yet another welder) stoped me. These boxes are pretty cheap and seem the way to go. My local welding shop is a bunch of idiots I can already hear their response "What do you need one of dem dare tiggy things fer anyway?" Anyone ever use one?

I have never personally used one, but have talked to people who have and they seemed to think that they were adequate. Sure beats the prices on a new machine.
