When I bought my 85 new, they asked me about the C6P option for heavy duty chassis equipment, does anyone know if this included a D60 front?
Mine doesn't have it on it, and is only a 7400gvw, but I just wondered as this C6P was a 8600gvw.

C6P is/was GM's H.D. suspension option and included a full-floater rear axle and stout rear springs but it did not include a D60 front axle - sorry.

my 1985 k20 came with the c6p option. it is heavy duty rear springs for 8600lb gvw. the dana 60 was a different option. my truck came with a semi floating rear. the full float was a seperate option but came standard with a 454.that's how it was when i ordered it in 1985.
