I seem to be having some trouble finding a smog sticker for the DMV inspection in CA. Dealer never has any stickers. I have an '81 K5 that was bought somewhere in the midwest. Can this truck be classified as a Federal emissions vehicle? The last service station I spoke to said all Chevy's in 1981 were CA emissions. Is this correct? Or is he trying to screw me? Where can I get an emissions diagram sticker for the engine compartment? Please help! I NEED to get my truck registered and on the trails again! I'm going crazy without my truck!

If you have a LMC truck catalog, you can order them from there I believe....Not sure if they have one for an '81, but it's worth a shot. You can get a free catalog at www.lmctruck.com.

I don't have a current catalog on hand. But, last time I checked they didn't have stickers for an '81.

yep, you're right. I just checked my latest catalog, only goes to '78. Hmm...A junk yard maybe? Did ya ask the dealer if they could order ya one?
