Will 1980 Cadillac ElDorado calipers work with the disc brake conversions for the 14bff's? I have heard a few years circling around 1978 will work, but have not heard of anything up to 1980. I have a good deal with a guy and I was just wondering if they would work. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif
    Thanks,

not to my knowledge unless you make your own custom backing plates to mount them to
as the problem is withthe backing plates bolt up holes spacing

76-78 are the only years that will work properly. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif The later ones don't open wide enough to allow new pads to fit over the 3/4-ton rotor. The 76-78's open about 1/4-inch wider than the later ones do.

79-85 calipers work with .980" rotors. 76-78 work with 1.25" rotors.
