Now that I have real tube bender and a couple of cages under my belt.....I'd like to see some cages that you have, or have seen.. So lets see-em

Oh anybody have a pic of S&W cage? for that price it would be worth looking into, but I'm not sure about the 1 5/8 tube /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I used 1 5/8 on my Samurai. Thinking about 1 3/4" or 2" for the Blazer

Will you be building cages for people? I'm looking to get a full cage. Just a thought, Vista is not that far.

It was custom built. I like the prerunner style truck cages with the long rear legs, so I had them do that.

no I don't have any specs we just built it as we went, I had a pic to go by is all, and yes we build it and tacked it in with the top on it..removed the top to weld it up and then put the top back on when done... I've painted it all up now but I don't have any pics of it in the day light, it looks real good from the side but the only mistake I made was the top isn't square....I was in a 10 story building and looked down from like the 6th floor and the top view looks funny. but it's all about function anyway right. tubing was 1 3/4" HREW, if I remember right

If it's not square, then the function is compromised. If it’s not hard to re-do I’d give it another shot. Looks pretty good from here though. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Not my truck, but I'm curious what you all think about the way the main hoop on this cage is leaning backward. It sort of ties into the angle/lines of the vent window, not the windshield. I think it softens the boxy look compared to a cage where the main hoop is vertical. Any other opinions?

It looks pretty good, nice truck too. The only thing I'd probably change is to add spreader bars to the outside of the cage(by the door window).

    bill4rest,
it's not that far out, but it's built to support in the event of a slight rollover etc. not built for 100mph wall hits, so it's function is fine for it's intended use imho.. I do like that blue rig.. hmmmmmmm just what I need another project.. unfortuantly that pretty blue would get rubbed off

yep yep, didn't think it turned out too bad for a crunch timed project and being my first cage, did have a lot of help from laketex and michael so, I think it turned out pretty good. Besides it gives me motivation not to roll it over for anyone to see

Does anybody have any pictures of the S&W cage? Does it interfere with the back seat? Thanks.
