Will any members be around or online this weekend to help me with a couple calculus questions regarding derivatives? I don't quite understand how my teacher got a final answer for a couple questions.
    Thanks

Yep, I'm around -- Feel free to fire away :) I'll try not to make any stupid mistakes, but I do understand the different differentiation rules :)

I'll be around some of the time. Differentiation isn't all that bad.

How do I do this? I mainly don't get in the final answer how they get the absolute value, I get something different.
    Thanks

clearly, it has to have something to do with distributing the x^2 into the root.
but i'm with you, i don't see how you would pull an abs(x) out.
