    Ok I have a stock gmc jimmy with a 305 can I put a set of headers on this truck and still have it street legal? Also are there any swap meets around the sacramento/stockton areas???????

    Yeah, just get the smog legal headers. They are a little more pricey, but you can do it.

    If yours has the AIR stuff, you must use SMOG approved stuff.

    If it is not a California car, and all you have is the heat risor, then you can mod any header to be legal. Get a 1.5" pice of exhaust tubing, tack weld it to the #3(IIRC) header tube, and run a heat pipe (availible at Kragens) the the stock air cleaner hole for it. then its legal.

    about once a month there is a swap meet at the fair grounds in stockton...i dont know how good it is but i see signs for it all the time...if ya ever need help doin anything to it give me a call...i got the tools and the place to do it.

    I dunno of any swap meet with car stuff that is worth buying in Sacramento... however seeing how there is a lot of users to Pirate who live right around the area you don't need a swap meet (plus theres a few from here as well). Not to mention there is about a hundred different junk yard around town. Even Recycle Row... a full street of nothing but junk yards...
