Hello all Cal CK5ers, we (the guys from the old first gen blazer-net site) have picked the dates for the second Blazer-Fest. On the weekend of July 14th. We don't know exsactlly were yet but so far it looks like somewere near Holister Hills. The location is still "up in the air"! So all are welcome and any ideas are welcome too!
Last year we had a blast down at PismoDunes. It is just your basic camping , wheelin, story tellin, beer drinkin, BBQin out door fun! YYaaaaaaHHoooooooooo

Hey gokartergo, Thats great! Hey sence you know the area the best what do you think would be the best for all of us to beable to camp in the same spot or group spots? Can you actually camp inside the park? Lets hear your opinion on what or where you think we should setup camp?
    Thanks

Sounds cool. Maybe some of us from the Sacramento area could meet up with the Central Valley and Bay Area guys at a location that is good for everyone and convoy into Hollister together.

I think the BayArea folks will go down 101 and us central valley guys will need to take 5 thru Los Banos to Hollister.
But I'm up for a convoy on Friday morning. I plan on getting there on Friday am to setup camp!
Any one else gonna showup on Friday Morning?

Ok I need to now how many. I made reservations today. If we get around 50 rigs. They will basicaly
shut down the park for us only. But we need over fifty. The park chargers $4.00 per rig per day for wheelin. And $6.00 per rig per day for camping. I talked with the ranger there we have group 5 campground reserved under CALIFORNIA CK5 BLAZER-FEST we can have up to 100 rigs. I need to now how many people and how many rigs. And dogs are OK has long has they are on leashes. That
campground also has showers.. Please email me at DMDJ@PACBELL.NET

I'd like to join the masses at the Blazer Fest. Have one question though. I own a 72 K5 which I've restored and drive regularly. It is not really a trail vehicle, However I flat tow a built jeep rock crawler that I bang around in. Can I still join in on the festivities if I tow with the K5, but wheel the jeep? If this is tolerable, count me as 100%.
