Calling all owners of \'78-\'88 K5s

I am trying to gather info on how the front seats mount to the floor on K5's from '78-'88. I know what the mounts look like in my 1982, but I want to know what other years used the same floor mounts. My truck uses a total of 6-bolts to mount the driver's side seat bracket to the floor- 4 in the front, and 2 in the back. The passenger side uses a total of 4 bolts into the floor, and a latch with a pin in the floor (like the rear bench seats use in 78-91) I need help with this guys. Thanks,

    Dave

Mine's a 88. It has 4 bolts, one in each corner of the seat bracket. Both front seats exactly the same set upp.

    David,

Long time no see/hear! On my 87 there are 4 bolts holding on both seat frames to the floor. Hope that helps...

I know, I am sorry Keith!
Things have been really busy at work. I apreciate the response though:)

I hope to be getting more free time soon.
    (yeah right!)

So it sound like the window of comon seat mounting is getting as narrow as I feared. Let's hear from some '78-'81 owners about their seats?

    Thanks,

    Dave

Both my '88 and '90 have 4 bolts. Never seen 4 up front before, is this stock?

    Yes,

My seats mount to the floor in the stock location. I know whatyou guys with '87-91 trucks are talking about because my '89 was the same way. And I know how the '73-'77s mount because I had one of those trucks too. So it sounds like '77 and '79 use the same mounts? Do I have any '80, '81,'83, '84, '85 or '86 K5 owners that can help me out?

ok 86 here. I have a slider seat on the passengers side. a buds 85 has the flip up style. I have never counted the seat bolts but I'm almost positive theres only 4 per seat.

I just checked right now and for the driver side seat there are 8 bolts and 4 for the passenger. I have a 1980.

My 86 has the same on the drivers as yours but only 4 on the passenger side. 2 at each front mount and the latch in the rear.
