More importantly, did you find any good bullpup stocks? I have a couple of Mini-14's. I have a Bushmaster composite stock on one, and the other is the regular wood one.

For about a hundred bucks I can get a bullpup stock, but first I need to get the mini-14...How do you like your mini-14s? Do you like the mini-30s?

I absolutely love my Mini-14's. To be honest, the Mini-30 does nothing for me. The Mini-14 is mainly a ranch rifle used for small game, and perhaps anti-personnel (Nato round and all). It has good accuracy, and shoots flat. My buddy does his own reloading and if I get picky, he makes me stuff that blows the factory stuff away. If I wanted a 7.62 round same as the AK-47, I'd probably just get an AK-47 (When I move out of the People's Republic of Cali). The 7.62 round is also obviously an anti-personnel round, but I question its use as a hunting round. But to each his own on that score. It used to be that the 7.62 round was very cheap and easily obtained. In my neck of the woods, it has decreased significantly. That might be a factor in your decision. Which ammo is cheaper and easier to get? Just stay away from the really cheap foreign stuff that could be corrosive.

My Mini's have been very reliable (the action is a copy of the M-14). There are oodles of aftermarket goodies for them and .223 ammo is plentiful. I go to the gun shows and buy a 1000 reloads for under $100 including ammo box usually. If you reload your own, it is pretty cheap too. Here is a couple of web sites you will get a kick out of:
