My next set of tires are gonna be 35/12.50R15. Can I fit a spare on the stock tire carrier in the cargo area? There is a good shot of the spare holder in a pic at the link below.

It would be real close. My 32" tire fits back there with some room to spare, but a 35" tire would be about the maximum. I have been wondering the same thing myself, since 35's are probably going to be my next tire size.

I don't think the width will be a problem, but there is obviously some variation in those brackets or rear seats....I can't latch the seatback even with the 31" spare I have there. I could in my last truck no problem.

Also it will depend if the tire is a true 35". Some say they are 35's when they are 34.__ not a true 35. But some tires are a true 35", and that might just be the difference between fitting and not fitting.

I could get a brand new 33x12.50 MT on a 15x8 rim to fit, but it was touching both the tailgate and the seat back. If I folded the seat down and then back up I had to loosen up the tire and move it back to get the seat to lock, then shove the tire back against the seat to get the tail gate to close.

I now have a 35x12.50 spare and there is no way it will fit with the seat back in the up position.

I got a pretty worn out 35x12.5x15 BFG mud terrain on mine. It coes pretty close to the tailgate and the back seat, but has a little bit of room.
