    I just got a scanner & I am trying to find some frequency codes for the Sierra Nevada area like Nevada, Placer, Sierra & other surrounding counties. I have searched the net but have had no luck. Can anyone help???

    I have hyundreds of freqs for Ca. alone. Hope this gets you started. Some of the numbers may be repeated because some share freqs, so make sure you cross reference to make sure you don't waste space putting the same one in twice.

    I think the ones that are for "state of california" are cal-trans. I will check further into my book though.

    This will give you everything you want. It cost $29.90 but may be worth it for you. It will cover rescue squads, police, forestry, ambulance, gov't agencies, aircraft, marine radio, mobile telephones, and some other stuff. You get a news letter and a bunch of other crap too.
    Call them at 1-800-423-1331.
