Besides Steve, who else has a Can-Back soft top? Are you happy with it? Did they change the design like Steve said in his review? What kind of price are we talking about?

Steve, are you still using that top? As it gets older, are you having any problems with it?

    Any additional information is welcome.

    Thanks guys,

I may be getting a 91 K5 soon and I was curious about the price so I emailed Can-Back directly. The price for the top itself (black) is $883.40. If I understand it correctly, the top you get for that base price has windowless side panels. The optional side windows are an additional $150.00 and are only available tinted.

The price is pretty scary and I'm still not sure I want to spend that much money but I (like you I'm sure) certainly don't want to waste my time buying a couple of $500 tops over the next few years.

It is a real nice top, I don't run any top right now, like more of the open air, if there is enough interest I could carry there line.

canbacks are kinda a rip IMO. Sure, they are way nice. They are also as much as a D60. Just go topless. If you are afraid of rain, make yourself a cool bikini top for like $20.

man, you rich guys have all the fun. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

How long did Can-Back say it would take to get your top? Have you got it yet?

Steve, any word on a discount price?
