Can I find out what kind of Tranny/T-case a Suburban has with the VIN?

    It's a 85 3/4 ton.
    unknown 3 speed and
    unknown T-case
    3.73s though.

    <font color="green"> Not possible with the VIN. Easier to ID them just by looking at them since they may have been swapped at soem point anyways. </font color>

    I just learned today about the RPO codes found in the glove box (in my truck anyway). they are a series of 3 digit alphanumerics. These codes are for what the truck was equipped with at the factory.

    If its all stock stuff, I'd say TH400, NP208, but as was mentioned, things are changed.
