I believe you can. They may rub some with the steering wheel fully turned, and going over a big bump, but they should be ok. My friend had 33's on his stock 85 K5 and they fit fine.

the answer is yes. with the correct offset wheel you can minimize rubbing at flex...

When I was running 33's I had to cut my front fenders both front and back to not rub, even for street driving. If you don't want to lift it or use the sawzall I would suggest 32x11.50s.

Re: Can i fit 33\" tires

I have seen as big as 35"s on a stock truck with some rubbing, on the street but alot more off-road but sill drivable. However I have only seen it on the 81 to 87 body style for trucks and 81-91 for K5's, and I know that on my 80 body style it seems to have less room in the front wheel wells. I'm not sure but it almost seems like the newer (81-91) body style has a bit bigger wheel well on it. But I am not 100% sure but I know that for moderate off-roading I have seen 35"s run on the stock height but only in your body style (81-91)
I hope this helps you out a bit. /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

I have a 90 with 33" on 15x10 wheels and they fit fine. I even have gone off road once with them and they did great. I did rub once with no damage.

I would say if your springs are good, then they will fit, if your springs a sagging some, then they might not fit.

8" rims are better. I could go just about anywhere I wanted and I would crash the fronts on occasion, but once did I rub out back.

I'm running a set of BFG 33x10.50 on stock alloy wheels and they fit just fine. They haven't rubbed even on some fairly challanging trails. The only drawback is that they look a little skinny on something as big as a K5.

12.50 33s on stock suspention. They dont rub on mine.
However I did trim a little off the corner of the inside of the very rear of the front front fenders just to be sure.
They are mounted on 8" wheels with 4" backspacing.

FYI.12.50sx33" in most cases usually will rub when mounted on 10" wheels on stock suspention.
