Last weekend I installed a 3/4 ton 10 bolt and found the ball joints are in poor to terrible condition. The axle I took out was a 1/2 ton 10 bolt and the ball joints are only a couple years old and in good condition.

I wanted to buy new ball joints and install them in a set of flat tops I have that are already machined for crossover but too short on money to buy new ball joints this week/month. Just curious if I could press out the old balljoints from my 1/2 ton 10 bolt and reuse them? Cant be worse than the poor ball joints in my new axle I am thinking /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

Where did the new ones in the 1/2 ton axle come from? If they're lifetime warranty units take them back and get new ones!
