15' 8lug wheels are so cheep don't risk yours, mine, theirs saftey. It's a bad idea and to be honest I think your a fool if you do it. If your set on doing it take it to a professional wheel shop and have them do it.

I agree fully with the above statement.
Go to a junkyard and pick up one for $5, or buy a brand new, painted, and shiny one for $35!!! It's not worth the hassle to weld in new centers.
It can be done though...like on hummer rims when someone orders custom backspacing, but it takes a special setup to have it done right, and a good weldor.

if you can weld really well then go for it.
you have to be at least as good as the minimum wagers that are building $35 wheels

Not a good idea unless U R good welder. That said,I found out that the centers from stock 16in 8 lugs will fit.Knock out the rivits on 16s and[Hard Part} cut/grind centers out of 15s.16 centers are tight fit in 15 wheels. You have to set the proper backspaceing and make sure there's no runout.I use old spindle hub to rotate mine before welding. After you make a couple wheels you'll see why most people buy new ones. It's not easy to get it right. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gifer /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
