Forgive my ignorance, but I've never heard about coaxle cable having to be a certin length. Can someone shed some light on this?

If you want the best performance you gotta have 18'. Its some techinical stuff involving the frequency and resistance and stuff, they call it velocity tuning. I'm sure it will work 5' shorter but for a couple of dollars you can have it working the best as it can.

I thought it was supposed to be 18' then after that multiples of 14', like 28, 42, etc.
