Can someone help me fix my a/c-heater? Please!!

    I cant figure out why I only get floor heat, I have searched and tried all the fixes I have found on the threads here and I cant get it to work. Does anyone know how the hell to fix this damn thing. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

    Sure, first, fill out your profile. What year? any mods, or stock heater config.? Some Gm's use cable linkage and vacuum to control heat flow and some use just vacuum system...

    Sorry, its an '83 w/ac all stock.

    When I fixed my 84 it was a vac leak. Check the hose from the firewall. On mine it was a narrow hard plastic line with a clear hose end that plugged into the manifold vac source between the carb and dist.

    Have you pulled the heater/vent control panel from the dash? Do that first, check all cables, and the metal clips they fit into, make sure they're connected on both ends, and move freely. start there. Let us know what you find.
