Would a fixed output ford 208 back plate work? I know its been done with dodge stuff, just curious about this one. Found one close to me.

    1. Are you sure that's a 208? Ford did indeed use them--but I have never seen a fixed yoke one in a Ford.

    2. The BW cases used in the '80s Fords were fixed yoke, extremely lightweight, etc.

I really can't tell from that angle what kind of case that is, but I've never seen a Ford with a fixed yoke 208.

That is a 208. The BW came with both fixed and slip yoke output.
Unfortunately I can't answer the original question. I just dunno....

Do not know about the furds but I swapped the tail shaft with fixed yoke and the back plate from a heep wagoneer, I think it was a -80 or -81 model. Really easy bolt on procedure. It is 32 spline by the way /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Oh yea forgot to say I do not use the front output so I remowed the chain. There may be problems with the gear, or maybe not /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
