Can you rebuild a power steering pump?

    Anyone know if you can rebuild a power steering pump?

    Mine's leaking and they want 70 for a new one...

    Yes, I forget how much it is for a pump but it is cheaper than $70.
    Once you have the pump out of the resevior take it with you, most parts houses will pull the pully off for ya.
    At least the ones around here do.
    The new pump will have a pully installation tool.

    Did we have a thread going about an HD rebuild (similar to what is offered by AGR except build it yourself parts = less $$$)?

    I think I want to rebuild mine the HD way....
