My 208 leaks at the seam between the front and rear case halves. I want to seal it back up. Does anyone know if you can pull the rear half off while the case is still in the truck? By looking at my haynes manual it would appear that all of the stuff starts falling out only when you start pulling shafts out. Anyone ever done it?

Umm, what was the question again? Damn distracting avatar...

I have done that and there is no problem. Maybe easier if you take off the output housing first and then split the housing. Just keep pushing the output shaft back in.
