hey ya'll... well i just got back from my trip to Vermont today.. I have to say the country side is beautiful around Burlington... while i was up there, me and a few friends went on a trip into Canada to hit the casino in Montreal.... talk about culture shock...i never expected it to change so quick after you crossed the border... you know i figured it would gradually become more french as you went north... I guess the worst part of the trip was some old woman who kept trying to pick my pocket... hell i told her to go away and got the security guys after her...then she showed back up again... plus most of the folks i met told me to piss off or wouldn't acknowledge i was even there... but the best part was stopping by shea dianes.. (i think that's how it's spelled) i didn't leave there till about 4 this morning, drove back to vermont and got on a plane....i wish i had access to a computer while i was there so i could see about meeting some of you northeastern guys and checkin out your rigs... oh well... just for a future note i'll be out at Luke air base in july...i think it's near pheonix... maybe i can hook up with someone out there.... take it easy ya'll.. time to recover from a good case of the hangover....

LOL, trust me 99% of Canada is more like the US than anything else. Montreal and some other parts of Quebec are very French though. Don't feel bad, they treat everyone like crap that doesn't speak French...I think it's a past-time there.

Rene is right on the money. In most of Quebec, if you don't speak French(or at least try your best to), the French-speaking folk treat you like crap. Keep in mind that Quebec has been trying to separate from the rest of Canada for 40 years.....I'm of the opinion that those people should be tried for treason, found guilty, and hanged.

You should try coming out to Western Canada one of these days. Yes, mj lives out here, but guys like him are far and few between in these parts. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
