    Can\'t decide on engine!?

My 90K5's 350 is starting to poop out on me. She's got 175,000 on her. Still runs good but starting to loose a little power and a burn a little oil. I am considering a 330HP 350 from Summit, but it says pre-1976 only. Will this cause me problems with my computer or anything else? What other engines would be worth looking into? I want a little more power than stock, but don't want to mess up the 700R4 tranny with too much power.
    Thanks-
    Mark

Your stock TBI system will adapt itself to some change in cubic inches and more power, but IMO 330 HP would be pushing it. You could buy a performance engine from several builders including GM that are designed to be used with your TBI system. OR you could but a higher perfomance engine and modify your TBI system with a custom chip, etc. But the cam has to be compatible with your FI system.

I don't think you'll be anywhere close to 330hp after bolting on TBI. I think you'd be better off with a mild 383 or 400.

Just get a stock 350 w/ vortec heads and FT pistons....the stock PROM should be able to cope and it will make a bit 'o power
