The number stamped on the fron of the pasenger side of my block is M08189VP. The problem is, every site i have lookedat for engine decoding, doesnt have the suffix code VP. Im pretty sure its a crate motor in there but i just want to know exactly what im dealing with.

    Check out my 73 K5 http://members.theglobe.com/xnoahx/73k5.htm

There's a number cast into the block right in front of the bellhousing on the drivers side. This may help you determine what motor it is.

Why do people keep calling it a Bronco!!!!! [IMG]

Maybe you could post the numbers on your motor. The ones by the pass. head and the ones forward of the bellhousing. I can try and look them up for you. (just went through it with a small block last week)
