i looked all over the the mortec and nastyz28 , and i cannot
find what my motor came out of , the number on the block is
    # 14102058 , which is a 305 from 87-92 .
but when i looked for my suffix code which is # k0924fjh, i cant find it in any of the lists.
i am pretty sure i am reading it correctly, and i really need to know what my motor came out of.
    any body have any ideas?

well after a lot of looking around , it looks like the motor
came from one of the following , 1987 c10,k10,c20. not
sure which. the h/p is 170, and the tq is 260.
now this gives me something to go by.
i wonder how much the hp. and tq. has change
when a quadra jet carb was put in place of the original tbi

Changing from carb to TBI or vice versa is going to be misleading from a power standpoint, as the cam was installed by GM to work optimally with the installed components. (Heads, carb or TBI, intake, exhaust, valve size, chamber size, etc)

Your casting number shows its a 87-88 305 block

can't find TQ or HP levels because I think you dont hae the right numbers from the stamp on the front of the engine

my book says that any "F" starting stamp was from 1955-1969

if you come up with different numbers from the front of the block..let me know and I will try and help some more.

    thanks

Pop off the valve cover and tell us what the head says. FJH indicates a 305 in K5 C10 K10 or C20. #14102058 is supposed to be an 87-91 roller cam 305 w/ one piece rear seal.
