was messing around with my files and folders today- and in the properties tab of one of them, I clicked the Hidden box...well it hid it so well I cant find the stupid thing. it's the only place I have my proposed budget for work...it took me about 75 hours to complete......and even my searching by file name wont make it come back...

    HELP WHERE DID IT GO???

    Try this:

    1. Open 'My Computer' or 'Windows Explorer'
    2. Click on 'Tools' at the top of the window
    3. Select 'Folder Options'
This will open a property page, one of the tabs will be labelled 'View', click on it
    4. A short ways down will be a setting to show hidden files and folders - they will show as a slightly faded icon.

Until you do that, you will not likely find your file.
Let me know if you would like screenshots mailed to you.

find the "Folder options" icon in control panel and click it. Then find the tab on top that says "View".

Under the "Advanced settings" find the branch that lists "Hidden files and folders" and click next to "show hidden files and folders".

    That should work.
