I was "rebuilding" my tailgate and before I put the window back in I thought I would shut the tailgate and make sure everything worked as it is supposed too. Well everything works great, but now my tailgate wont open[IMG]!! Is there a switch or something I can hit insid the tailgate to get the gate open. I was thinking since the window isnt in maybe it didnt trigger whatever it usually does when it gets down to a certain point to allow the tailgate to be opened. I just dont know where that trigger is! Any help is appreciated!! thanks!!

Oh yeah and just a tip....DONT SET YOUR GLASS ON THE GRASS!![IMG] I sat my window on the grass (out of the way, no one could accidentally step on it, you know). Well I went to move it after a couple of hours later and when I did, the grass is now burned in the shape of my rear glass[IMG][IMG]!!!! To bad it wasnt in the shape of a bowtie[IMG]!!!

There is a rod in the center that the glass pushes down and allows the handle to pull in the flaps. I use a small screwdriver toi push it down

Also if you have the inspection cover off look for two small rods heading to each side of the tailgate. pull each one in towards the center of the gate and it should open.

Got it!! Thanks guys, after I went back out I found the rod in the center once I started looking at it a little more carefully. I was also going to put on the outer window seal for the tailgate that I got from JCwhitney.....it didnt fit for sheeiiiiitt!! Thats what I get for trying to save a couple bucks!! So I'm sending it back and ordering one from Cheyenne P/U
