Can\'t sign on at home w/dial-up, not a cookie problem

For the last two nights I can't sign on at home with my AOL dial-up. I have no problem signing on at work with DSL. When I logged out from work yesterday, I made sure to delete my cookies, and this still didn't help.

What happens is that I go to the login screen, and then I fill out the two fields and hit OK. It goes to the Main Index page, but still says I'm not logged in.

Do have something set wrong on the privacy/security settings for the internet maybe?

Just click on "My Home" then go to the bottom and click "My Coookies" Then click the expire cookies button. Then just log in /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I can't even do that. I doesn't give me that option at the top. It is like I just surfed straight to that page and was never a member or anything.

Thanks for the input, though. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Maybe if you make sure your preferences in your ck5 home say go to your home on login , you could get to where it says expire your cookies . I am backwards from you , at home I can go right in all the time , at work when I get on I have to immediately expire my cookies to log back in /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Re: Can\'t sign on at home w/dial-up

Well, I tried that and after I logged in it took me to My Home. So I deleted the coookies, logged in again, and once again went to My Home. Then I clicked the link to Main Index and when that page opened it said I wasn't logged in. I could log in again and go through the cycle all over again.

    Any other ideas?

Do I need to change something on my computer?

    Okay. Thanks guys.

I will try the clock. I know the computer at home has problems with the clock staying correct, I will try that.

Well, your first problem is dialup, this is 2004 not 1994. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

I know, I know. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I love the DSL at work and keep trying to convince myself I need it at home. I just don't listen well, not even to myself. /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif

Hey now, some of us live to far out in the sticks /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

I can get satellite or microwave systems for high speed internet, but i would have to spend quite a bit of cash on all the equipment. Not worth it to me, I do however have high speed at work /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif
