I've currently got a computer controlled Qjet with California emissions and a 700r4. I would like to swap in an older, non computer controlled Qjet and distributer.
My questions: What are the wires on the transmission. There's on at the rear drivers side corner, and one on the front passenger corner. If I swap to the older stuff, will it affect the transmission?

Will I open a can of words in any way that I may not have thought of? The passenger side exhaust manifold has what looks like a vacuum operated valve on the end??? Should I swap exhaust manifolds as well?

Any other helpful hints or suggestions would be welcome.
